Our Story

In 1967, Bobby Thompson's dream became a reality when he opened Beaumont Plaza Sunoco. In '77 he changed locations and renamed the business just a few times. Bobby was the proud owner of Thompson's Exxon, Thompson's Boron, Thompson's Gulf, and finally Thompson's BP. The BP was a full-service gas station, auto repair shop, and towing service. Bobby's wife, Coleen, was with him every step of the way. She began record-keeping with a pad, pencil, and record books. They began with one 1956 Dodge pick up and one tow truck when they became a AAA service provider in 1973.

1984 brought a second-generation Thompson to the family business. Bobby and Coleen's son, David, headed off to college on a baseball scholarship but soon realized his heart wasn't in it - he really wanted to work with his Dad and make Thompson's B.P. a real "family business."

1995, David's first-born, Mason, becomes the business' newest employee...unofficially.

In 2011, Thompson's BP let go of gas and rebranded to become
what we know today as Thompson Service Center.

Although Bobby passed in April of 2019, TSC continued.

In 2020, a third-generation Thompson was added to the business
...officially.
